Permanent cosmetics is rapidly becoming one of the most sought out procedures in the beauty industry. That is why it is so important to seek competent professionals with extensive training and satisfied patients. In addition to Tiffany’s years of experience, she is also one of only a few permanent cosmetic artists in Las Vegas who has achieved higher certification through the Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional (CPCP) program.

Permanent cosmetics is the non-surgical art of applying natural looking, cosmetic grade pigments into the dermal layer. It is used for the enhancement and definition of facial features, the correction of flaws, and the improvement of overall appearance. The dyes that are used are iron oxides and lakes (organic dyes.) These dyes are FDA approved and MRI safe.

Permanent cosmetics are most commonly done on the eyes and lips. In conjunction with Tiffany’s services, Dr. Rueckl can help ease the pain of the permanent cosmetic procedure by injecting the sites with a lidocaine block. Other patients may just elect to use a topical anesthetic for a few minutes prior to the procedure. Each area takes approximately 90-120 minutes to complete, and a 30 minute consultation is required before the procedure is done.

The procedure includes a template photo, before and after photos, application of topical anesthetic (and/or injection of lidocaine by Dr. Rueckl), and post treatment homecare products. Permanent cosmetics is NOT “semi-permanent” although the color may fade over time due to external factors such as sun, and internal factors such as medications. Touch-up treatments may be done in the future to re-add pigments into the facial skin and will be offered at a discounted rate.

While many people are drawn to permanent cosmetics, it is especially beneficial to:

  • People allergic to traditional cosmetics
  • Pre-chemo patients
  • People with busy and hectic schedules
  • People active in sports
  • People with bad eyesight or unsteady hands
  • Alopecia patients
  • People with thin or thinning eyelashes
